- Perform all lifting exercises in a slow and controlled motion
- Perform all lifting exercises through its full range of motion
- Leave a day or two to rest between training sessions for the same body part to allow for muscle repair and growth
- Do not hold breath, but exhale through the lift.

- Blood pressure rises in the body (heart attack risk, blood pressure in head rises)
- Release weight/breath
- Blood pressure drops extremely rapidly
- Blood flows away from head
- Potential to “black out”
